A first meeting with Aveley awaits at Parkside tomorrow and it will be a tough ask with only 12-13 fit players. You would imagine Brennan Camp will be out for a while now and Marc said in the post match that Murphy and JNW won't be rushed back.

Aveley sit 22nd with 2 points after making the playoffs in their debut NLS season last year.

Aveley 0-0 Dorking

The stats make for fun reading...

Possession: Aveley 25% - 75% Dorking(!)

xG: Aveley 1.15 - 3.02 Dorking

Shots: Aveley 10 (5 on target) - 25 (5 on target!) Dorking

Crosses: Aveley 6 (1 accurate) - 58 (21 accurate) Dorking

Passes: Aveley 103 (54 completed) - 564 (479 completed) Dorking

Touches in Penalty Area: Aveley 8 - 43 Dorking(!)

Top Performer: Jordan Norville-Williams [8.0]

I know he wasn't on for long and was carrying an injury but the average position for Prior was really poor. He was basically playing as a CDM and was deeper than Rutherford, Briggs, Muitt, Carter and Josh Taylor...

Looks like we have reached our sustainable level now (mid table).  The priority now should be two good cup runs.  The cash received from the 12th Man scheme must NOT be used on the day-to-day costs of supporting the playing squad.  To achieve sustainability we need to invest in the infrastructure, that is, acquiring Meadowbank, getting rid of the Surrey FA and developing West Humble.

Do you think the £300k+ from the Seedrs first wave share issue isn't already gone? On things like the rent of Reigate Grammar training facilities?

Is the freehold purchase looking possible at some point this season, and can we then finance the new pitch (be it another 3G or some sort of grass one) at the end of this season? Plus the other infrastructure ambitions the club has?

The playing squad must be costing every penny at the moment, George and Tony who came from Crawley must be on good wages, as must be Jason, who AFAIK doesn't even train full time.

Still think Muitt would have been a better option than Rutherford as striker, if only Briggs could have played the full 90. Be interested if JNW is out again for a week or two now with what looked like a strain.

Maybe we will win the injury lottery and it turns out it was just cramp having not played in a while.  Unfortunately, I think he will be out for 3-4 weeks minimum.

Marc said before that Murphy should be back this weekend for Weymouth but I would question how fit he can actually be having not been deemed fit enough to play any minutes last night. Sounds like Francomb has a chance for this weekend as well but I would be surprised if he risks him until the Horsham game, same with Prior.

@calvertskans those stats are unreal!

Wonder if there's a pattern of conceding more than expected xg, every game?

And it's farewell to Louis, the 'strength and conditioning' coach. Never known such an injury plagued club as it has been under his time at the club if I'm being brutally honest.

The Seedrs first wave raised about £800k.

That must include the money that Kyle Shestack and Whitters put in?

@dorkingtyke And that absolutely is the priority, as I understand it. Purchase of ground, development of Westhumble. All more important than the current results imo. Not to say that doesn't matter, of course.

That's as I suspected, and has been the case for a while I think. Could be age and overplaying catching up perhaps but it's a real issue.

58 crosses is insane - for comparison, Spurs are top of the 'crosses table' in the prem this season with 75 from 3 games.

I do feel like 57 of them hit the first defender on the head/thigh though...

It really is. Reminded me of that infamous Man Utd v Fulham game where United put in 81 crosses and somehow only drew 2-2.

I can genuinely only remember 3 or 4 chances come from those crosses last night, with one of those being the goal Joel scored. Fuller had a big chance early in the second half where he put a header over from a few yards out and Rutherford had a header go over the bar from close range late on but that's about it.

I think the keeper only made 3 saves in the game; a couple with his feet from Carter and one simple one from a Muitt free-kick...

JNW had an ice pack strapped to the same leg that he had taped up during the match - I think it was hamstring?

I wonder if he wasn't really fit to return, and hence the strength and conditioning bloke leaving - probably reading too much into it, but I'm always suspicious of player/staff members leaving the day after a terrible result!

FWIW I heard that Louis was leaving a couple of weeks ago so I don't believe it was in any way related to last night's result.
