For me all depends on the return of JNW so I'm saying:

Dorking Wanderers 1 Chippenham 0

Murphy

Att 1250

Definitely the type of game we should be winning if we want to go up this season. I assume JNW will be fit as per Marc last week but it does depend if Bowerman is considering he went off apparently injured against Truro. Will be interesting to see if hit picks Prior or Rutherford up top with Murphy.

Dorking 3-1 Chippenham (Muitt, Murphy x2)

1301 attd.

                           Foulkes

           Camp          Craig         Francomb

Muitt             J.Taylor     Pybus           Norville-Williams

                             Carter

                   Murphy            Prior

Subs: Fuller, B.Taylor, McManus, Briggs, Rutherford

Not very high predictions for the attendance, I guess summer hols will have an impact but hoping that we really show our intent by getting a lot of fans through the turnstiles on Sat.

@ethant I think anything above 1200 would be a success to be honest. Summer hols has a big impact at all clubs but especially for us due the large number of families we attract. Add to that the relegation last season, not winning a competitive home game since March and losing 2/3 Saturday home friendlies will definitely hurt attendances.

Hopefully the weather is good at the very least as that can also have an impact...

@calvertskans Yes lets hope and you are right on all the above. Personally, I am more excited to go watch a home game then I have been for a long time as there is actually a chance that we can win them now. Fingers crossed.

Fancy us for a 2-1 win.
Looking forward to getting back down the Bank, didn’t make it to the friendlies

I always thought if the weather is too good during the summer school hols then families tend to do other things for a whole day out, particularly visit the seaside?

Worked out the new method for family tickets online, have to put 4 x '£9.50 adult' tickets in your basket to get the £38 family bundle

@dorking-eagle Yeah that's true, there is probably a sweet spot weather for football. Not so nice that you'd rather be at the beach but also not chucking it down or freezing 🤣

I think it will be 3-1 to us. Chippenham do not have much of a budget and are happy just to make up the numbers in NLS. The bookies have them as one of the favourites to go down.

JNW being out for another couple of weeks is a big blow.

@calvertskans I agree its a big miss, his physicality and youthful energy is really important for the team. Hopefully he is back and firing in 2-3 weeks time!

I see they have ditched the printed programme 😭

Could put up with it if they did a digital programme instead, which I can pay to get printed

What they have done instead is even worse, a few clickable articles and the rest is links to various webpages

Utter garbage, really don't know they have gone with this particular format but it makes me fume!

At least make it printable, like the B team programme

Correctly predicted the 1-0 score. Opposition made it hard for us to break them down. Glad the team persisted and got the vital goal.

Wasn't by Murphy as he did his groin kicking in the warm up and didn't make the subs bench.

6pts from 6, that's what matters, onwards to a big game Tuesday, feel like some of the subs today were made with that in mind.

Great result yesterday against limited opposition who showed no attacking ambition until the 2nd half.

Marc criticised JP9 for his performance, as he wasted 2-3 very good chances and looked off the pace.

Lets see how the situation develops, as its still early and it will take 3-4 games for the lads to play themselves into match fitness.

Aside from Alfie, we are very light in the forward position. We knew of Murphy's injury record and him limping off pre-match is a bad sign. JP9 may not be at the level anymore, lets see. I suspect that Marc may need to shift JP9 on and bring a new forward in.
