A first away trip in what feels like an age as we take on in-form Eastleigh. One of the better sides in the league at the moment who also have the league's top scorer in Paul McCallum.

Will they have one eye on their FA Cup 3rd round tie in a couple of weeks though?

I strangely fancy us to get something from this one. Especially if we might have a few of the lads back for it (Prior, Briggs, Pybus, Bowerman, Blair all possibly back)

Eastleigh 2-2 Dorking (B. Taylor, Carter)

1,776 attd.

Male, Francomb, Craig, Hollis, B.Taylor, Muitt, Gallagher, J.Taylor, Carter, McShane, Ottaway (Prior if fit)

Subs: Fuller, Philpot, Moore, Bowerman, Prior/Ottaway/Briggs (Depending on who is fit)

@calvertskans Now that would be some event if Carter gets one against his former club!

I enjoy a trip to Eastleigh funnily enough, and also think (and hope) it will be tighter than last season. However;

Eastleigh (2) 3 Dorking (0) 2  - McShane, Hollis

2,505 (281 Wanderers)

I have a feeling we'll go for Moore/McShane up top again.

I'm not sure of the team, I'm losing the will to live with who's injured, who's out on loan and who's haven't had enough minutes.

It has to be better than last year down there. Eastleigh did not offer a great deal in the match at Meadowbank, although yes their form has improved of late.

I'm guessing 2-1 Eastleigh.  Carter to score!

@happy-hammers Briggs, Bowerman, Blair and Pybus were all training on the pitch before Woking and Marc suggested they may have a chance for Saturday. Pretty sure Marc said Prior might have a chance as well.

McManus and Kennedy weren't involved at all against Woking so not sure if they are injured or not. If not, then I don't think we have any injured players anymore!

Fitness and match sharpness is another issue - Briggs, Prior, Bowerman, Blair, B.Taylor, Muitt, Ottaway, McManus, Kennedy, Philpot, Carter all not back to full fitness yet you would assume based on recent injuries/minutes played.

Rutherford, Cook and Kuhl all get "fitness minutes" on loan for the next few weeks

@calvertskans cheers Tom.  Looks promising.  Regarding fitness and minutes, I would of thought who ever he picks can give the most they can and bring on someone else to do the same. But making sure that the players can do that without injuring themselves.

Eastleigh 4-2 Dorking Wanderers

I agree Gaz

I've given up keeping the 'injury thread' up to date because it's such a long list! God knows what the strength and conditioning coach does - didn't he used to work for the SAS? 🙁

Yes, happy Christmas to you all, it's always good to read what others think about the games and of course the players. I should be at all the games until mid January but am particularly looking forward to making a weekend away of Macclesfield in the trophy 👍

As long as the game isn't dead after a minute and a half this time!

Rutherford loan seems really odd if Prior is still out and doubts over Ottaway last week.

Extending the Kuhl loan until the end of the season is also odd with Pybus still out.

@calvertskans

Sounds super desperate, doesn't it. Wonder why Marc won't name and names (i.e. the returning and the 2 ruled out after training?).

The Kuhl thing I just don't get though.

I guess now more than ever we just need to keep the faith!
