A first away trip in what feels like an age as we take on in-form Eastleigh. One of the better sides in the league at the moment who also have the league's top scorer in Paul McCallum.
Will they have one eye on their FA Cup 3rd round tie in a couple of weeks though?
I strangely fancy us to get something from this one. Especially if we might have a few of the lads back for it (Prior, Briggs, Pybus, Bowerman, Blair all possibly back)
Eastleigh 2-2 Dorking (B. Taylor, Carter)
1,776 attd.
Male, Francomb, Craig, Hollis, B.Taylor, Muitt, Gallagher, J.Taylor, Carter, McShane, Ottaway (Prior if fit)
Subs: Fuller, Philpot, Moore, Bowerman, Prior/Ottaway/Briggs (Depending on who is fit)
@calvertskans Nope. No announcement at the game, nothing in the papers. I'd say around 2,200, incl about 200 Wanderers.
It seems to me we need someone like McCallum, or perhaps a Kabamba or Dieseruvwe. What are the chances?
including 175 Wanderers.
Whilst their 'yoof' might have been laughably pathetic, it's pretty poor form that the club know that is going to happen each week and let away fans be subjected to it.
No doubt the club has all sorts of statements about not accepting foul and abusive language/behaviour.
If they had let us have the terrace as well then 90% of us would have stoof well away from that rabble and the security would have had nothing to do.
No doubt all those ejected just come back the following week too!
All Eastleigh have to do is put up child prices in the seats next to the away fans and there wouldn't be any issues! I know you can ignore it but why should decent families in the away end have to listen to all the swearing and name calling all match from kids more interested in being abusive than watching the game?

@dorking-eagle Yes I agree - but really, even the chanting was so high pitched as many voices hadn't broken 🤣
They'd run a bloody mile if anyone actually approached them - as happened this season against Aldershot.
Quite a few Wanderers giving it back - and rightly so.

That little rabble were so laughable. Funny how they were nowhere to be seen after the game. Was a couple of gobby twats as we were waiting to get back on the coach, but again they soon dispersed when a few of our youngsters walked over towards them.
Can you imagine what it would be like with 6 to 700 Aldershot there? You wouldn't hear a peep out of them.
