And here it is, to be played on Sat 14 October:

Horsham v Dorking Wanderers.

A local derby! And surely a chance to put our FA hoodoo to bed???

Have a feeling that it won't be very pretty but we will probably struggle through and get the job done!

Never turned up. Very disappointing performance.  Horsham played well and could have been 4-0 up by half time.
It was like the Kiddy game - second to everything and nothing happening going forward.
Wingers both had poor games, the delivery of the balls into box was awful. Kuhl in particular over hit everything.
Eventually reduced to lumping it forward to Jason in the second half. Can’t recall a shot on target. A wasted opportunity for sure.

I can’t think of anyone to suggest for MoM poll.
Only consolation is being home in half an hour

@baggy someone told me the players didn't have a clue, they were clueless. This isn't a blame game but shouldn't these players know how to win these games.

I've said this once before Dorking Wanderers don't have any leaders, the senior players don't take control of things on or off the pitch.

Absolutely atrocious. Not a surprise as we've been awful for weeks.

Every single player decided today was a good day for their worst ever performance. Briggs looked like he'd never kicked a football before. Pybus was awful and I don't see Kuhl ever playing for us again after that. How Ottaway plays a single minute for us is beyond me.

Marc has to take a lot of blame though as the decision to go long from minute 1 was really baffling. Strange decision to take of Cook as well as he's a much better centre back than Gallagher and we immediately conceded when he went off.

Games like this show how important Bowerman and McShane are to the team. We had zero creativity without them and I've never seen so many crosses from wide or deep float harmlessly out of play.

I really hope this doesn't cause a massive slide in form going in to the winter like it did last year...

@calvertskans Marc always takes off players when they get a yellow card,  bloody stupid, trust your players.

I know it's a old saying but I think it's a really true saying. In that Dorking team who would you want in the trenches with you!!!

Worst performance of the season by far … Horsham were the better side and deserved the win
No need for a MOM poll today … can’t pick out anyone

Two tricky away NL fixtures to come too, will need a big reaction from the players

Very disappointing to say the very least 😢

@happy-hammers Yeah I know but it only makes sense if you have an actual replacement. If Tony Craig was on the bench then it would have been fine but he wasn't.

On a brighter note, Muitt played 80mins and Rutherford played 45mins for Bognor today. McManus was also involved in the warmup today.

Briggs got clattered about 10 mins in, thought they were going to sub him then to be honest.

Was a bit cheesed off with the opening disallowed 'goal' though - was well offside, 3 of our players got booked arguing with the ref to just check with the lino, eventually the ref disallowed it after the 4th official (on the halfway line!!!) pointed out it WAS offside!

But of course even though the 'goal' was chalked off the yellow cards remained.

Cook taken off shortly after - presume Marc not liking players staying on who got a 1st half yellow. Cue the collapse (not that we were any kop before that)

Be proper gutted if Horsham pull a terrific draw tomorrow - lets be honest in R1 there is no such thing as a bad draw - you either get an 'easy' route to £41k of prize money, or you get a tough game but a share of a big gate and maybe even tv money.

Really gutted for the likes of Prior who is getting near the end of his career and yet has never played in R1. Also McShane who might have been back for it.

Most of all it was just bland tripe, if there was a game plan I never saw it. Good luck to Horsham - sat in their stand completely surrounded by them and they deserved my congratulations through gritted teeth.

Haven't put up a Man of the Match poll, but any of the other mods are welcome to do so if they see any point to it after such a rotten effort.

Well that was probably the most dispiriting display I've seen in a long, long time.

I'm at a loss to explain how pretty much the same team can go from completely dominating a contender for promotion to the EFL (Barnet 1st half) to what we saw today - would love to hear anyone's ideas or thoughts as to why this happened and how the entire side can have an off day at the same time....

And...what really disappointed me was the number of misplaced and overhit passes. Especially disappointed with Aaron Kuhl who I think is capable of so much better, and as a younger player more likely to be part of the club's future.

Maybe too many injuries, players out of form, out of position
