How about a guess the score and gate going forward?

I'll start with Aldershot:

Dorking 2 - 2 Aldershot (Prior, Blair)

2,810 (950 Shots)

@calvertskans

I watched it on the stream,  definitely not a penalty. Ok is that what happened, obviously I couldn't really see how the ref or lino were.

But a very good win, maybe not as fluid but I think these wins and performances are showing we are growing into a good National League team. I prefer these games rather than having the ball a lot.

Bromley gaffer post match was a good interview.

Shame about Brigg's not sure why they keep rushing him back if they know he can't last 90 minutes??

@happy-hammers The team is really growing into a really tough NL team. We have really shown a lot of quality the past 2 games. Pattern of play, aggressiveness, and fitness. Exciting to watch.

Injuries, injuries, injuries. Briggsy and BJT. Bobby-Joe was doing so well in this game. It has been impressive for the past 2 games the team that has been put together, and the quality that has come out of the team. Hopefully, some other players can be match fit for next weekend. It seems we are just cycling people in and out because they are not fully healed, and we put them in, and down they go.

Next game Josh Taylor will be back. Is Harrison suspended (5 bookings)? Harsh if so, 2 of those (at Horsham and Bromley) were for complaining about wrongly given goals (Horsham goal was even rescinded)

Some games the keeper doesn't have much to do. Be nice to see Slav.

Loved yesterday we were suburb!

Considering league positions we beat them in all departments, left the ground knowing we belong here!

Had to rush for train so left at full time and missed the melee.

Aldershot are still playing and haven't yet scored from open play!

@dorking-eagle I'm not sure FA Cup yellows transfer to league total do they? Either way, I think he might only be on 4 yellows anyway.

Bobby-Joe picked up his 5th yellow but probably a good time to do so considering he picked up an injury.

Josh Taylor and Rutherford will be back. I imagine Bowerman, McShane and Craig will be back in the squad at least.

Still think we could do with recalling a couple of the boys out on loan.

Well that was a cracking performance. Thought Aldershot offered nothing, which was a surprise given their recent form. Loved the interplay down the wings, thought Moore, Bobby Joe, Prior all superb but generally an all round display of determination and skill, against a side in the play off positions.

Don't know how the Wanderers players put up with the abuse (and objects) from the Shots end especially when taking corners - unacceptable imo, and think we need to do more to protect them as it's so close to the pitch.

Maybe more stewards, perhaps even pitch side, but appreciate it's really tricky given the space.

Either way, I think it's only a short step to a really serious incident...

That was great to see another convincing and controlled performance, especially with the players coming back. Coaching team must be doing a good job of getting organisation and tactics right.

So much better than last year, when we were not very competitive in so many away games in the first half of the season. This year, with a bit more luck with ghost goals, pens and late collapses, we would be nudging into the play off places. In spite of all the injuries. So plenty to be optimistic about.

One concern is the number of silly bookings, for dissent mainly. With a thin squad and injuries, we can’t afford them, especially after the final whistle. Having said that, the dissent did save us a goal v Horsham (to no avail) and the refs have been appalling at times. The penalty yesterday, having seen it back, was an absolute joke. Just encourages forwards to run into defenders and go down in a heap. 😤

Great result and game, despite the officials' best efforts. The second half felt like a full 90! Probably a conversation that's been had and I'm late to but Bobby-Joe can't be happy not regularly starting games like these surely? I'm sure plenty of other National League teams would start him every week

@georges I've always been a bit surprised he doesn't start more as I feel he is the perfect player for that LWB role. He was excellent at the beginning of last season and got a lot of assists from that position. Over time though, it feels like we've tried to shoehorn him in to the left of the back 3 role which I don't feel he is suited for. We also try to play him in that RWB role (due to the arrival of Bowerman and Blair) and I don't feel he is quite as effective that side as he is on the left.

However, he is a bit susceptible to a lack of concentration and the odd bad moment (think Oldham at home last season) and that is probably why Marc doesn't play him as much.

I think he is a really important part of the squad due to how versatile he is though. A good leader/senior player as well.
