Attempt 2 at this fixture after the NYD game was "rained off". Hampton currently sit 9th in the table with just one league defeat (to Boreham Wood) since November. The Beavers had their game on Saturday away at St Albans postponed so they have had a full week's rest leading in to this one...

Marc's post match on Saturday didn't suggest that any players would return for this with Josh Brooking being closest to a return next week.

Predictions:

Hampton & Richmond 1-1 Dorking (Carter)

732 att.

                          Foulkes

        Gallagher      Craig       Milsom

Briggs       J.Taylor      Williams     Norville-Williams

                           Carter

                 Rutherford   Murphy

Subs: B.Taylor, McManus, Young, Muitt, Prior

Surely we have to rest Prior at some point? Milsom came off very late on Saturday as well so I wonder if there is a slight injury concern there...

Do we have to have the same ref as first time around? Is that such a thing?

No it's a different referee tomorrow night David.

The original ref was Josh Crofts.

Tomorrow nights referee is Joe Woolmer.  He is the one who sent Josh Brooking off at Weston earlier in the season

Thanks Steve.

Stat fans. JP9 is on 98 goals in 197 appearances. Would be amazing when he scores goal 100

Be interesting if he is ahead of Tom Tolfrey yet for club record goals

@steve1966 As a matter of interest - how do you find out who the ref is and how far in advance is it announced?

I don’t think Marc will rest JP any time soon @TomCalvert but Murphy must be due a start surely.  Team looks better balanced with JNW on the left. I’m hoping we are on a roll now - 2-1 win (Prior, Murphy)

Is it still the case that Prior is 'less full time' than the rest of the squad and trains for less mornings per week? If so, then he would be getting more rest between matches than the others.

Although with this gruelling 5 weeks of playing Sat-Tues-Sat I would hope the training they are doing is more tactical and less physical.

On the subject of this Sat-Tues schedule this month, I would hope that the players should be able to deal with this considering the full time nature of training and the fact that we've only played 8 games over December and January (not counting Surrey Senior Cup).

The Aveley game last Tuesday was our first midweek game since Hemel(A) back in November. We also have a mostly fit squad to pick from apart from the right side of the defence.

There was also the Surrey Senior Cup game (at Farnham) the Tuesday before Aveley too

Foulkes, McManus, Briggs, Rutherford, Josh Taylor, Gallagher, Norville Williams and Murphy all started

@dorking-eagle Yes but pace and intensity of the game was a lot lower and a lot of them only played 45 mins. All those players arguably needed minutes as well.

TC, Milsom, Muitt, Carter, Prior, etc should all be fairly fresh.

Enjoy the evening everyone who’s going.

Torn between score draw or away win but I’ll say narrow away win 1-2

Hampton and Richmond have done well in the last 2 games, but think we will edge this one 2-1 as we have hit a purple patch.

All things being equal, I do not see anyone other than Boreham Wood, Maidstone, or Worthing really troubling us at the moment.

Well, it should have been the 2-1 that we predicted. Gutting to concede like that in the last five after dominating almost all of the second half.  Really good energy all over the pitch but it showed the importance of getting that two goal lead.

Most played well and I thought JNW was exceptional on the left, with great delivery for the second goal.

I didn’t understand the use of subs, or lack of them - a complete change from previous few games. Hampton brought on fresh legs to produce their only decent spell in second half, while Dan G had struggled vs their quick winger and could have used some support. Forwards ran themselves into the ground- why no Murphy? And Jack Young only right at the death.

A disappointing result but another excellent performance- looked much the better side throughout.  Hopefully everyone stays fit for the run in.
