Penultimate home game of the regular season as we welcome Hampton & Richmond to Meadowbank. Their form has fallen off a cliff since we drew 2-2 away back in February, with them picking up just 2 wins. However, they did beat Welling 5-0 at the weekend to end a long run of defeats.

Marc said there were no injury concerns ahead of the match although we have not seen Rhys Murphy in the squad for the last few weeks. Josh Taylor's suspension takes 7 days to come in to effect so he will be available for this one.

Predictions

Dorking 3-0 Hampton & Richmond (Carter, Rutherford, Camp)

2,479 att.

                         Foulkes

          Camp        Craig       Milsom

Muitt         Taylor        Young         Norville-Williams

                          Carter

               Rutherford       Prior

2-0 win for us here I think with goals from Prior and Camp. Possibility that if Briggs plays he scores but lets see.

Extra capacity....(click on link below)

Should be a good crowd, the club record home attendance was on a Good Friday a couple of years ago

@dorking-eagle Presume no standing along the front fence? That'll be hard to enforce...

There will be a steward there to remind people what the yellow hatching means, I am sure he can get reinforcements if needed too

Personally I would have put the stand up against the fence (and lowered the advert boards as much as possible) so that people walking past would be walking behind it rather than blocking the view, but that is always something that can be adjusted later if needed as it isn't fixed.

Remember we had a temporary terrace there for the '22 play off final

Stand looks good - is it permanent? Could do the same the other side of the dug outs too. But needs a cover.

3-2 Dorking today.  It is never straightforward…

It's currently temporary, ie for up to 28 days (depending on the play-offs) but expect a planning application after that time for it to remain there.

Some sort of marquee style canvas roof (like the one at Crawley) would be a worthwhile upgrade too.

As for today, a clean sheet would be golden.

@dorking-eagle Yea was great, that. Much better than seats as I'm guessing most, if not all will end up standing in that new temp stand anyway? We shall see...

@dorking-eagle Actually, looking at that now, won't there be a problem with sight lines for those in the front seats? Barely see over the fence?

Superb high intensity performance by the lads today. Really destroyed Hampton and Richmond early bells.

I thought second half we really missed JP. Murphy was largely anonymous and does not play that same role that JP does so well for the team and does not do well working with the players around him. Him and Alfie did not even work together as a unit, sometimes they were working in the same areas and at one point were both the other side of the pitch as a through ball was played to no one.

I would punt Murphy for the play offs. Bring another striker in from elsewhere if possible, as we glaringly have no alternatives to JP9 and Rutherford.

Carter and Camp were exceptional as usual, both look 2 divisions above. Tony Craig was playing with an injury all game, and I was surprised when Francombe was taken off instead of him.

Their keeper on loan from Chelsea U21s was definitely one of the worst I have seen at MB all season, at fault for 2 of the first 3 goals.
