We're on the road again as we look to keep the good away form going after 3 away wins from our last 4 in the league. Kidderminster currently sit in 22nd place in the table but are one of the form sides in the league with 4 straight wins since Phil Brown took over.

With no obvious injuries from Tuesday night, you would imagine the Dorking side will look fairly similar once again. Marc mentioned last week that Alfie Rutherford could return for this one and while Fuller was expected to return at the weekend, we have not seen him in the squad for either Halifax or York.

Predictions:

Kidderminster 1-1 Dorking (Prior)

3,016 (134 away)

                                   Male

      Francomb       Craig          Hollis       B.Taylor

McManus             J.Taylor       Pybus               Blair

                                   Carter

                                    Prior

Subs: Cook, Gallagher, Moore, Ottaway, Rutherford

Expecting an unchanged lineup for this one although if we do decide to go with a back 3 then I can see Bobby playing on the wing with Otts or Rutherford up top.

@adeb Kiddy fans reaction to this game has been really odd. Calling us "anti-football" even though they had less of the ball and probably had less chances. We also had a long midweek game as a part time side whereas they had a full week training with no midweek game. They also think the ref was massively against them even though I don't remember a single controversial moment in the entire game.

You definitely take any point away from home but this point is only good if we back it up with 3 next Saturday against Ebbsfleet, otherwise this was a missed opportunity.

You could take your pick of the back 3/4 for MoM again (Hollis in particular was excellent I thought) or Dan Pybus who was brilliant. I thought Prior had a poor first half but imporved in the second which was promising.

With Niall injured, I think we will go back to a back 3 again like we did in the second half as I don't think Cook can play as an actual LB. It would be more likely to be Kennedy in that position if we did it I reckon. Probably a bit early to be rushing Alfie back from the start so I reckon it will more likely be Ottaway up top with JP or even Moore/Carter.

Josh Taylor went off with a knock late on as well so hopefully that was just precautionary. If he gets injured we have literally no chance of staying up.

Objectively our football was pretty dire if we are being honest. Would have liked Jason to do a little more with the limited service he got but he did win everything in the air.

After the Macclesfield debacle, we've sussed out keeping it tight - clean sheets at Boreham Wood, York and Kiddy

Now the challenge is to get the goals coming again, Alfie must be the key to this at home games.

@adeb It was very painful viewing but we are happy to accept it as it gives a better chance of staying up.

@calvertskans I can see their point on the ref although I think he had a shocking game for both sides. Unfortunately, the level of refs, linos etc. at this level (and all levels) is pretty shocking.

He seemed to book ours for first fouls but left their players alone apart from their player that stopped in the 2nd half (to be fair he booked Prior for stropping too!)🤣

@dorking-eagle Yeah that was annoying, I think if I was a Harriers fan I would have been very wound up by how much time wasting he let us get away with, lino had 3 or 4 throws where he didn't have a clue and they could have taken it quickly. No major things but just the general standard was vey poor.

@ethant I don't think it would even make my top 20 of bad refereeing performances from this season 🤷‍♂️

The McManus and Hollis ones were stonewall yellow cards. Prior one was for dissent so obviously we don't know what he said there. The yellow the Kiddy player got in the second half was standard as well.

Only real mistake I could see was that he definitely should have booked Male for time wasting late on. Maybe the BoA footage will show more, who knows.

Interestingly, Dorking with a slightly higher xG in the game at 0.54 vs their 0.39 (both very low).

Kiddy with marginally more possession (51%) make them the first team to have higher than us since Barnet back in early October.

@calvertskans Yeah I think it is fair not being in your top 20 but that speaks to the general standard of refereeing more than anything else.

I think it was the standard thing of the home team pushing to win the game, and the away team being happy to slow it down to hold on for a point, we've had it ourselves a few times when we have been at home, Hungerford being legendary at it on one occasion, doing up bootlaces, not catching the ball when it is their throw on etc

On another note - bit of a colour clash wasn't it? Maybe it was better in the flesh, but watching it back I'm surprised that was allowed.

@adeb in 23rd place and with 29 goals scored, Kidderminster fans must surely be the authority on anti-football they wouldn't want to watch every week! 🤣

@adeb Yeah it was definitely a bit of a clash. Looked better in person than on the stream but still not great. I am surprised Kiddy didn't wear white shorts as that would have helped a bit.

When the kits were revealed pre-season I was a bit worried about Woking, Kiddy and Altrincham away as those clashed with all of 3 of our kits. At least Alty wear black shorts so that won't be quite as bad in a couple of weeks.
