Not great with Worthing just getting over the line v Bath, but at least B'Wood lost albeit against Truro. Win for Torquay too.

Still top, and will stay top until Monday if we beat Chelmsford, then it's Worthing away at Aveley where they could have the chance to nick the top spot for the first time in a while, with us reclaiming with a win at Maidstone.

Musical chairs...

A bit concerning that they are only 1 point behind with the run of fixtures we are about to have. I just don't see us going perfect through this tough run. On the flip side, I don't really see Worthing dropping any points over their next 5 games except for maybe Hornchurch away.

We just still need to be in contention when we get to that Worthing away game.

Worthing is 1 point behind with a game in hand, and we then both have 10 games left with a possible 30 points.

Surely if we put a strong run together of 8 wins in those 10 games and hit the 93 point mark the title is ours. And we do not need to risk the agony of the play offs.

However, we are both on around 2 points per game. I would think its going to be razor close even at the end. Worthing will end up on at least 88 points perhaps even 90 points. So it will take around 91 points+ to secure that 1st place and auto spot.

March is a vital month for us. I think we need to aim for 11 points from the next 5 games and no defeats. Can't see Worthing winning all 5 games in same period. They are bound to draw at least one.

Worthing also have a slightly harder run in than us as they have to play both Truro and Eastbourne in the last 5 games. Worthing away is a vital game, which we can't lose.

If we do get pipped to the post, as long as there's not an away play-off at Truro* then we must be strong play-off favourites.

*I know, I am usually the first to get excited at such away trips! Once is enough! Carlisle next season will be better.

I don't see any scenario where we don't need to win the Worthing game. It feels like a must-win game if we want to win the league as I feel we will likely be around 2-3 points behind them at that point.

We are pretty average at home. It's like the players are too relaxed or something. Not sure it helps when Marc pretends we played better than we did in many interviews. I get he has to manage morale and there is a lot of psychology at play.

Torquay home game with hundreds of away fans making a racket is probably when it will be make or break.

I think we would have more chance in the play offs if we play away from home 3 times! 🤣
