We move on from the dissapointment of Tuesday night to another away game agaist Maidenhead United. They currently sit in 19th place, 1 point ahead of Dorking after 1 win and 4 losses in their last 5 games.

Dorking will be without Josh Taylor for the next 2 games after picking up his 10th yellow of the season. Matt Briggs will likely be out for at least a few weeks after picking up another hamstring injury on Tuesday night, while Barry Fuller was also replaced with a dead leg.

Predictions

Maidenhead 1-1 Dorking (Prior)

1,344 att.

                                Male

          Francomb       Craig       Hollis

  Muitt           McManus      Pybus           Blair

                               Carter

                     Prior         Rutherford

Subs: Cook, B.Taylor, Moore, Bowerman, Ottaway

A slightly easier to pick team due to some of the recent injuries but will be interesting to see if Marc goes with a back 3 or 4. If it is a back 4 then I would expect Bobby to come in for Prior or Alfie. Cook may play if Francomb isn't fit.

No way we will win 4 out of 9 if we defend like that again. And any team due to play us can watch the videos of the last 2 games and make a list of all our weaknesses.

Marc may well give the team a perfect strategy and gameplan for each game, but I agree with Henry, most of the players just arent good enough and too many players who were good enough 2 years ago (McShane, Briggs) are not available through injury.

We have to be realistic about the limits of the players abilities. I could tell the players the tactics but if they are mostly NLS standard players it's still a tall order to go out and deliver a result.

We all want results, I think Marc accusing fans was just a deflection tactic as nobody knows what he is talking about.

Recent focus has been the away matches but I think we need to focus on those last 4 home games now. I think all 4 are winnable but at the very least, we need to win 3 of them and one of the away games (probably Wealdstone). A point or two at Southend and Rochdale would help as well.

Stats make similar reading to Altrincham really:

xG: Maidenhead 2.55 - 2.92 Dorking

Possession: Maidenhead 40% - 60% Dorking

Shots: Maidenhead 19 - 13 Dorking

Top Performer: Harrison Male [7.5]

The xG on those Prior and Hollis chances were pretty crazy. Really should have scored 5 or 6 yesterday.

Marc clarified the events he was referring to again in his weekly update.

Don't want to go over and over it as drawing a line is always better, but (amongst other things) he said 'Maidenhead fans behaved really well' which is not all that accurate. However if it means the couple of drunk teenagers get some sort of ban then I'm not against that.

Pleased Marc acknowledged that there should have been segregation in place. Odd thing is it's not even cost cutting by Maidenhead as the food hut in what is the normal away end was open, and they had enough stewards and police to segregate it.

@dorking-eagle Agreed. Not too much point in going into it, but other than some lively teens who I've seen many times before, I didn't see too much bad behaviour at all.

Like I said previously, we do have a small minority of troublemakers, but these are much more serious characters and were definitely not there at Maidenhead (in fact, it's quite rare they are seen away from home).
