Here is the current NLS line-up so far for next season:

Guaranteed:

Chesham United (promoted from step 3)
Chippenham Town
Dorking Wanderers (relegated from step 1)
Hornchurch (promoted from step 3)
Slough Town
St Albans City
Tonbridge Angels
Weston-super-mare
Weymouth

Likely:

Aveley
Farnborough
Truro City
Welling United

We won't know the fate of Oxford City until we see who else gets relegated from the NL or if Merthyr Town potentially get promoted from the Southern Prem. The last relegated team from NLS is interesting and should be clearer over this next week. Hemel are probably ok but may get dragged in to if Taunton, Torquay and Eastbourne pick up wins this week.

A few new grounds for Dorking in there and Truro are moving back to Cornwall from next season as well.

What away day are people most looking forward to? Who do we think will bring the most fans to Meadowbank?

If I'm not mistaken, barring any geographical anomalies, we now know 22 of the 24 teams playing in the NLS next season  (?)

Which just leaves the 2 teams coming up from Step 3 play offs:

Southern League

Totton

Salisbury

Gosport

Bracknell or Merthyr

Isthmian

Chatham

Enfield

plus 2 from Wingate & Finchley, Horsham, Billericay

@dorking-eagle Just depends if they decide to put Oxford or Braintree in the NLN (assuming Braintree don't go up).

Horsham can confirm their playoff place if they get at least 1 point tonight against Cheshunt.

What's everyone's pick from those then?

Me, I'd prefer Bracknell Town (such a shame they don't play in their home town though), and Horsham.

I would prefer Salisbury and Horsham.

The NLS playoffs are still to be decided so one team will be promoted to NL.

Playing Tonight

Braintree v Bath (winner to go to Chelmsford at weekend)

Playing Tomorrow

Maidstone v Aveley (winner to go to Worthing at weekend)

Out of the six I would prefer Worthing or Maidstone to win.

We played a pre season friendly at Bracknell about 3 years ago, there were still covid rules in place like having to scan a QR code or sign a register! They were selling chunks of the ground around them, was only a couple of metres around the perimeter for spectators on 3 of the 4 sides

Sure enough a year later they moved away having flogged all the land for housing

Bath staying down after losing 1-0 to Braintree in the 115th minute

Horsham lost 1-0 in the Isthmian Prem, but should still be ok to make the playoffs with their goal difference, 12 better than the next team

Horsham's goal difference is actually 12 worse (+12) than team below them, Billericay (+24) so they need a draw to make playoffs. Both  teams are at home to teams which have been relegated (Margate need a swing of 15 to stay up).

Thanks for that, totally got it the wrong way round.

Maybe if they both have 'easy' home fixtures then Wingate & Finchley will miss out??

Incidentally, I recently heard on the grapevine that Merthyr (Southern Prem) was inhospitable for away fans, however I saw the other day on twitter that it won an award for turning that around and Merthyr go out of their way to make a good fan experience

@dorking-eagle Great ground that, good support but yes they've definitely had issues over the years.

@adeb Don't think it's been confirmed yet but judging by the pre-season dates Dorking posted, I assume it will be the 10th August.
