Can anyone put together a list of the squad with player's ages - and their professions so we can start to get a picture of who might be here longer term, and who either may be coming to the end of their career, or not able to go more full time?

Any thoughts too more generally on where we are heading with the current first team players, form aside, I'm thinking more about age and prospects here.

Marc has often referred lately to having a 'better squad' two year's ago.

Does anyone have a copy of a programme or something like that from back then? I'd be interested to see who's still here and who went...

@adeb He was when he was younger and when he first signed for Dorking but over the years has dropped back in to midfield (sort of Rooney-esque in that respect).

I think the main players that Marc refers to with that comment are the likes of Wes Fogden, Sam Beard, Tom Richards and a younger/fitter Prior, Fuller, McShane, Briggs, Moore, Wheeler, etc. Losing Oldaker was a bigger miss than Marc anticipated as well I reckon.

For example, if you compare the team that beat Stockport 4-0 to now, it isn't really that different. Gallagher, McManus, McShane, Briggs, Moore, Philpot, Huk all still around.

@adeb same for Sky Sports and other pages, one playmakerstats.com has him down as a forward currently playing for Juventus! Kept that quiet!

Crazy to see how many clubs are making signings these last few weeks. Would be interested to see the numbers each club has signed this season as we would surely be near the bottom of that list.

I can only think of 7 signings this season (not counting Dyer or Everitt as they've not been involved with the first team at all):

Male, Craig, Pybus, Lankshear (loan + returned already), Blair, Carter and Hollis

@calvertskans One of the (many) things I love about Dorking is the player stability, loyalty and comparative lack of signings.

Otherwise we become just about club. Which we are not.

@adeb while I generally agree, it is important to strengthen where possible and required. Our rivals are strengthening and I hope we don't regret missed opportunities.

It still baffles me that we went months with one fit winger and then weeks without any fit strikers...

@calvertskans I would assume that the lack of picking up players is financial in nature. Plus, I'm sure a lot of the funds are tied up in the purchase of the grounds themselves.

Hopefully we start up, as next season will be very interesting, as I believe but could be wrong, most of the players were on 2 year contracts. So a few could be up for renewal.

Prior, Mcshane, Briggs, Fuller, Gallagher, McManus, Moore. Maybe a few more out on loan.

@robh I'm sure that's the case as well but I am just a bit surprised we didn't explore loan options like we did last year. Someone like Pattenden on loan like last season would have helped ease the winger injury crisis.

I think finances are playing a large part in the player ins, outs & loans

Still think Charlie Carter will prove to be a top buy for the club for this season and future ones too

Just been looking at the league table and so tight, with the current bottom 4 teams all starting to pick up wins in the last few games

Difficult to predict but what do we think the minimum points needed this year to avoid relegation will be? ...looks like it will be a lot higher than previous seasons ...

@sddwfc I would be surprised if anyone went down with 52/53 points.

6 wins and a draw from the remaining 17 games should keep us up.

I think today just further highlights the need for some more goals in the side. Especially if the Alfie injury is bad.

With the amount of games we have these next 2 months, I don't see how Prior is going to be able to play every one...
