Ok, an ever tougher challenge than last week, and if someone can name the available players it would help, but let's have your line ups for the next game
I'll start - but have no idea if all these are definitely available or not
Male
Fuller
Cook
Gallagher
McManus
Pybus
J Taylor
Muitt
Briggs
Seager
Rutherford
With Prior banned I wondered if Alfie might even start?

@dorking-eagle I just hope we're careful with Alfie. I know he's been on loan for a few weeks but there's a big difference between step 3 and step 1 in terms of fitness and physicality and I don't want a repeat of what happened with Briggs last season.
Considering Ottaway and Seager are both fit, I woud just start them and then give Alfie 25-35 mins in the second half. Then we can maybe use the Redhill game to give him his first start.
However, if Muitt is injured for tomorrow then I think Seager has to play out wide so Alfie would probably start in that scenario.
@georges that is interesting and hopeful! This season seems to show it is not so much about which 11 is out there, but how they play on the day (don't mention Horsham!). The team has defended so well even without TC and Francomb, who made such a difference last season. It will be a big boost to have Alfie out there again, but such a shame Jason won't be there with him.
I didn't see what happened at the end of the game last week but, given the state of the squad, I think the players do have a responsibility not to get pinged for silly yellow cards. We will miss Mooro no doubt, too. Let's just hope for an Aldershot and not a Kiddy performance tomorrow.
@miller09 I didn't have eyes on exactly what the cards were for at end of game but consensus was both were harsh. It was a tough environment for our players in that end of the ground, very "lively" Aldershot support with objects being thrown when we had corners down there, also not helped by some very bad inconsistent officiating. I could understand any frustration, but agree we need to stay professional.
Unacceptable our players had to put up with that. Not sure what the answer is - more stewards, more police, but it's tricky as there's no space to put them.
Maybe CCTV to identify and catch those responsible?
Certainly the Shots message board is very scathing of what they call 'the scruffs' - who follow them to Woking, Eastleigh and Dorking but rarely anywhere else...
Very disappointing result but fair reflection of the game
I just watched Marc’s post match interview and hard to disagree with anything he says really
Each time we have an opportunity to push on and up in the league we seem to fall short … but that’s football ⚽️
Great to see Alfie back in red and white, well orange 🍊in the second half 🤣🤣

Was at Burnley-Palace today (booked tickets and hotel before DW brought the Dagenham fixture forward to today) but seen Marc's interview. Best team won by all accounts.
Anyone got any intel about the likely team to face Redhill in the Surrey Senior Cup on Tuesday, as didn't seem to even be mentioned?

@dorking-eagle Confirmed as the B team playing. Not sure if any first team players will be given some minutes but I imagine it will be the same team as Thursday.
Thanks.
Q - in hindsight was it worth bringing that game forward from a midweek slot for the sake of a 1463 attendance? Which cant be much more than we would have got midweek anyway?

Really dissapointing performance. Dreadful start cost us as you can't afford to give away 2 goals like that at this level. Felt a lot like early last season in that first half. Both goals really spurred Dagenham on as they looked out of it when we equalised.
Second half wasn't much better as we looked a bit short of ideas going forward. Delivery from wide areas was really poor.
It's really disappointing that we can't seem to string more than 1 or 2 good performances together this season. I don't remember too many terrible performances last season, especially at home, but it feels like we've had 4 or 5 this season already.
Ottaway was a positive and I thought Francomb had a good game. Good for Rutherford and McShane to get some minutes but I thought Alfie looked absolutely shattered after about 15 mins. He might have needed another few weeks at Bognor to be honest.
Prior, Moore and hopefully Bowerman back next week at least!
@dorking-eagle I guess it saves the legs of the players a bit for that week. At least this way they get a full week of training before Fylde.
Side note - I thought the attendance was surprisingly low considering the weather wasn't that bad in the end. Very flat atmosphere as well.
@calvertskans Yes, very flat all round. Though given the injuries, returning players, lack of minutes, players out of position not that surprising I guess.
Attendance wise, not too bad, when you think about the likes of Aldershot getting fairly similar numbers against Dagenham past few seasons. They're not a big attraction really and only brought around 100 fans.
Onwards and upwards.
Just listened to Marc’s interview and thought it was honest and fair reflection of where we are.
Leadership on the field is a massive issue; without Jason and Moore they could not work out how to beat the press, which most teams apply very effectively now. It was obvious from the side that there weren’t the midfield options to play through - not fair to ask Dan G to do that job- so it would have been better to go more direct.
Agree @CalvertSkans that Francomb and Ottaway were superb throughout. I thought Alfie looked pretty sharp - although worried when he got a knock early on. Great to have him back , and others to follow.
Daggers not a great side at all - compared to Woking or Bromley- but could have won by many more if not for great saves from Male again.
Disappointing to miss an opportunity to climb the table, but plenty of time to go, and plenty of firepower to return. Onwards and upwards!
Got to be honest wasn't really that surprised given how many out!
I do wonder about the tactics of crossing into the box when we had very little height to aim at.
Are attendances beginning to worry people had a little look about but couldn't find how many turn up for the same game last season?
@epsomwanderer 1,536 for the same game last season although it was earlier in the season and was very sunny.
Would have had more neutrals in attendance this time around though.
