On the road again as we face a Slough Town side who sit 4 points behind us in 8th place, albeit with a game in hand. They have just the 1 win and 2 draws from their last 5 games.

Sounds like we might have a record amount of players missing tomorrow as we are without Rutherford, Prior, McShane, Murphy, Carter, Moore, J.Taylor, Pybus, McManus, Camp and Milsom...

Predictions:

Slough Town 1-1 Dorking (Brooking)

924 att (140 away)

Don't even know where to start with a lineup prediction but I'll give it a go....

                                     Foulkes

        Brooking      Francomb        Craig         B.Taylor

                         Gallagher        Williams

          Muitt                    Young          Norville-Williams

                                  Alexandrou

Subs: Wooster, Briggs, Randall, Bowerman, Rawlins

I don't see how we can play a back 3 with only 1 fit striker, unless we start Rawlins or if someone like Muitt starts up top which I don't see happening.

That is a lot injuries.  Is Carter injured too or just not available? I think a back four is sensible but I would play JNW back there and BJT in front of him.  I imagine Marc will want to keep it tight and look for set pieces. I am going for a rare 0-0.

@baggy Marc confirmed Carter won't be available for tomorrow.

Bobby and Jordan are fairly interchangeable but JNW looks more threatening going forward to me.

I'll take a draw tomorrow, no problem;

Slough Town (1) 1 Dorking (0) 1 (Young)

825 (151 Wands)

Slough 1-2 Dorking Wanderers FC

Looking at the results so far its becoming apparent Slough is unlikely to make the play offs.

We should have enough about us to see this over the line narrowly.

Poor performance really tonight. Chasing the game all night, sloppy at the back. Cant expect to score 4 every week to get a result!

Not the end of the world but probably a good thing to have a couple of weeks off from league games

Alfie and Jimmy the best players tonight for me

Disjointed yet still almost got a point. Players barely knew each other and it showed, too many missing.

Thought Theo did well - definitely potential there.

Thought Slough's ground was decent tbh, still close to the town centre despite being a new build, a little bit different to most and great catering facilities.

I have to say I'm quite enjoying the National South at the moment (grounds wise!)

Yeah, with the two longest trips out the way early doors, it's a doddle this season (unless we go on in the trophy and get Gateshead etc!)

Their bar at the top of the Main Stand is lovely too!

In other news, Seb Bowerman moves on. Probably for the best.

Came a bit out the blue that announcement about Seb. Leaves us a tad light maybe with the injuries but I don’t think hes had the greatest of seasons so far

@gary-munnery Looks like it's genuinely a work life balance issue - such a glowing write up from both Marc and Seb.

Yeah I thought he had been forced out on first look as been well below the standard but judging by the write up that wasn't the case.

Not surprised to see Seb go, given that the new recruits seem pretty decent, and he has been offering diminishing returns lately.

Great set up at Slough, agreed.  I thought first half we were actually pretty good, but just conceded two high quality goals.  Second half was not so great and could have lost by many more. Mostly a result of lots of new players: they looked decent but obviously had not played together and it showed. Alfie looked a threat again though and Jimmy too. I am not sure about Theo yet - definitely skilful but often got caught in possession.  Agree that a break from the league is no bad thing.

Agree with others that first half we were actually decent but gave ourselves too much of a mountain to climb by conceding those 2 goals. Second half really wasn't great though and we looked a bit all over the place in terms of shape and attacking threat. Probably to be expected with the quick turnaround and mountain of injuries though.

Alfie and Young had decent games but not much else to shout about. Not sure why we took JNW off at half time as he seemed to be getting in decent positions down the left quite often. Though Milsom had a rough game; scoring an own goal and should have done better for the second. Also have a feeling that we won't see Foulkes around for too much longer...

Presumably Brooking has a 3 game ban now considering it was his 3rd red card? He got a 2 match ban for the last one so I reckon this one will be 3...

Shame to see Bowerman go as I thought he was a really decent squad player to have. Was our top assister the last two seasons and is still joint highest this season as well. I imagine he will do quite well back at Bracknell at that level.

Stats for the game don't actually look that bad:

Possession: Slough 39% - 61% Dorking

xG: Slough 1.97 - 1.89 Dorking

Shots (On Target): Slough 14 (7) - 12 (3) Dorking

Crosses (Accurate): Slough 14 (4) - 19 (1) Dorking (tells the story of the game really...)

Top Performer: Alfie Rutherford [7.5]

Shame about last night, just watched the goals back I've gotta say Foulkes needs to be moved on been absolutely crap lets be frank.

imo should have saved the first 2 and what he's doing for the 3rd goal I don't know, costing us way too many points

a league break will be good for a bit!

@cp96 Clearly should have done better with the 1st which was a bizarre early dive with no scanning of where the ball was played, and the 3rd it was his mistake that led to it.

As you say there are question marks here, and potentially there are better keepers out there than him for the money he gets paid.

Foulkes may deserve more time but keepers are as cheap as chips so its not hard to get rid of a bad one.
