As some or most of you may be aware, we now publish a monthly printed magazine called 'The Wanderer'.

This was brought about as we felt there is still a place for a printed publication, but the deadlines required to produce a weekly programme were proving too restrictive.

It's packed full of interesting articles you won't find elsewhere including player interviews - as well as the usual match previews, stats and notes from Marc.

It would be great to get everyone's opinion on this - have you seen it? What do you think? Would you buy it and is a monthly a good idea?

We plan to make it available to order online from today.

Any feedback welcome, including ideas on where else we should promote the mag.

Thanks!

I have bought both copies, I think it is excellent.

I am sad there isn't a programme any more, but if we are being honest, it was pretty poor by the end, mostly adverts and very little reading for £3

The new mag is all reading material and full colour pictures, literally only 1 advert in the whole magazine.

I see the club persisted with the matchday hub for the game on Saturday, not sure why they bother with that now we have the excellent mag. Any die hard programme collectors will be pleased that the home match details are listed on the cover too.

I also should note that DW are absolutely brilliant in letting people get teamsheets every home game, I always manage to get one easily and hugely appreciate that to fulfil another collecting urge!

The club massively needs some sort of shop for outside of matchdays in my opinion, Ollie has done brilliant getting so much amazing merch available, but a lot of it is online order only. Is there any shop on the high street that might want to stock a small selection of stuff, or even just have click and collect during normal shop hours? I hope when DW buy out Surrey FA that we make a little shop at the front of the SFA offices!

Back to the mag, the last suggestion would be the page on each opponent could have the a picture, for home opponents a squad list, for away opponents maybe a picture of the away ground?

But really, it's a terrific effort and I urge people to buy a copy and to support it!

Not a big programme person myself but I like the magazine and think it is a good compromise for all involved.

I picked up the first copy, thought it was excellent. I’ll grab the second edition next Tuesday evening. Much better value than the programmes- which were a bit naff in the end.

How good would it be to have a DWFC official shop somewhere down the town! I’d be a walking advert for the club 😂.

Over the years we had shirts and a couple of other bits in Seymour Sports (InterSport) on the High Street (next to Superdish!)

then RuStar (a shop selling designer trainers) stocked a LOT of stuff

It is a difficult one because any shop would have to devote approaching 50% of its space to our stuff. There is an argument for it if we were a National League Club as you could also sell tickets there.

Maybe one of the tiddly little shop units in St Martins Walk might work, but to be fair it's not as 'front line' as being on the High Street, where the rents are really high.

The ultimate answer is of course to do something at the front of the Surrey FA office once we have got hold of that. I can almost envisage the Club Shop sign above the door already!!
