Back at Meadowbank for the second Saturday in a row as we face fellow promotion chasers Torquay United. The Gulls sit 3 points behind us in the league in 6th place and they arrive in similar form to us with 2 wins and 3 draws in their last 5 games.

Marc said in his weekly update that 2 or 3 players were struggling and may be left out as a result but did not give specifics. Academy and B Team player Joshua Hebert has been called up to the match day squad.

Predictions

Dorking 0-0 Torquay

2,467 att (809 away)

1.5pt average on plastic vs 2.5pt on grass - that's quite the eye opener!

@matthewpont In the short term, the Brooking situation is very worrying for this weekend. With Camp suspended for another game, we are looking at possibly having to play Gallagher or Francomb in that right of the back 3 position.

Sousa was the best player on the pitch in the game at Meadowbank back in August and I feel his pace will cause either of them massive problems. Brooking would be by far the best option for that position so hopefully we can get him back in for this weekend at the very least...

Yes, it is the home form which may cause us not to win the League. It is only 8th best, (7 points less than Truro, Worthing and Eastbourne) whereas our away form is 2nd best , from one less game,  and a plus 20 goal difference.

Those stats on and off the plastic are very telling, as has been said. Much better games to watch as well (except for the mud baths).  Hybrid pitch must be the answer in the long term.   Or we play a completely different game at home.

I thought that maybe Brooking had been binned due to his mistake for a goal the other Saturday - hope it's not true. As someone said in this thread, it feels like the Joe Cook situation again. Young defenders are always going to make mistakes, and rather than just slag them off and get rid, they should be given a few chances to improve. I'd have love to have seen Cook get a season or two playing alongside TC as I'm convinced he would have become an excellent defender for us - same goes for Brooking.

Josh Brooking has left club by mutual consent today. As you say looks like the Joe Cook situation repeated again.

@crawleysth Attitude is everything, especially at DWFC, and it was clear Joe Cook was lacking in that area.
