A much trickier test this time as top of the league Truro City visit Meadowbank. They currently sit 4 points ahead of us with a game in hand and also include the league's top scorer in Tyler Harvey.

Josh Brooking returns for Dorking after serving his 2 game suspension. Marc mentioned in the post match on Monday that Camp would be a doubt after suffering a dead leg but he can be seen taking part in training yesterday.

Predictions:

Dorking 3-2 Truro City (Carter, Rutherford, Craig)

1,372 att. (36 away)

                                Foulkes

          Brooking          Craig         Milsom

Muitt              Gallagher    Williams          Norville-Williams

                   Young                   Carter

                             Rutherford

Subs: Francomb, Briggs, Randall, McShane, Alexandrou

Will be nice to see an away team that doesn’t park the bus. Expecting a close game and hopefully two good performances on the spin, which has been a rarity this season. 3-2 Wanderers.  Rutherford 2 and Young.

Well that was a surprisingly dull game.  First 5 minutes we looked really good but after that … not much to get excited about.  Truro looked very decent I thought and they will feel they had the better chances and should’ve won.

Fair play to their fans too, coming all that way and making a bit of noise. And coming up with my favourite chant of the season so far- “AONB you’re having a laugh”.  Fair enough coming from Cornwall.

On the plus side Briggs and Muitt continued to pose a threat and Williams was neat and today in midfield.

Couldn’t understand why Brooking didn’t start; he is good enough to be in for Dan G and made an impact when he came on. But a point is no bad return from a tough game. And players to come back soon hopefully.

@gary-munnery They gave Brennan plenty of stick first half for some reason, and got quite abusive towards some Dorking fans down that end - and Jimmy Muitt (!) second half - maybe the drink took it's tole 🤣

On the game, really please to see Briggs continue to show his class - tho not sure Jimmy is as effective on the left?

Truro clearly have a good defence, and are a decent side, but I've still yet to see a better team than us (certainly technically) this season.

Also - can someone (Tom) post the actual formation including what it was after the subs? I got a bit confused as players seemed to be popping up everywhere.

And finally from me - my son took his mate along for his first Dorking game (West Ham and Lorient fan, normally) - he loved it - thought we were technically superb, even without any goals, and will be back!

Thats what I tell my spurs mates who are only interested in Spurs and nothing else. They all have the impression non league is long ball, hit and hope etc. The standard and quality is so much better

More than likely. I couldn’t hear any of that up the Bank end 😂

Yes very impressed with Briggs yesterday and Muitt did some good dribbles but definitely less effective on the left. There was a lot of moaning around me when he replaced Camp with Brooking, but Josh did look dangerous when he ran at them.
Also Truro turned us around at the coin toss- was that the first time this season? Hate shooting towards the Bank first half
