Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Our fourth Saturday at Meadowbank in a row as we face a 16th placed Welling United who have won their last two games.
Expecting the squad to be much of the same as Tuesday although it sounds like Josh Brooking will miss the game through suspension. Hopefully we see a return of Dan Pybus to the squad.
Predictions:
Dorking 4-2 Welling Utd (Rutherford x 2, Norville-Williams, Alexandrou)
1,532 att.
Foulkes
Francomb Craig Milsom
Muitt McManus Gallagher Norville-Williams
Young
Rutherford Alexandrou
Subs: Fuller, B.Taylor, Briggs, Bowerman, Prior
Camp presumably replaces Francomb
Joel Brown has gone on loan to Moneyfields (not that I expected him to feature in the squad tbh)

Just listened to Marc’s update, looks like Pybus and Francomb are doubts but great news that Camp will be back.
Anyone know how long Murphy is out for?
Im not there tomorrow as im off on holiday annoyingly but I fancy a tight home win , 2-1
Marc sounded quite annoyed when he said about Murphy still being injured. Brilliant player when he is fit, but that doesn't seem to be very often.

@dorking-eagle Yes he definitely did, he’s probably on large wages and we’ve barely seen him. Don’t think he played much last season either did he

With his recent injury record you would have hoped the club medical department would have done a full medical before he was signed. Is it a new injury he has got, or old issue?
Dorking (2) 5 Welling (1) 2 (Rutherford (2), Young, McManus, Alexandrou)

You were spot on @gary-munnery - pundit of the week!
Again, what should have been a routine home win against limited opponents turned into another nail-biter, and had that shot in the final minute been better we could be moaning about two more dropped points.
It was a makeshift midfield to be fair, but it badly lacked creativity. Jack Young was excellent, full of energy, but he hasn't yet demonstrated the ability of Carter to run with the ball or make the crucial pass. So not many chances created, and those that were Jason really should have done better with. On the plus side, the defence was very solid against a handful of a centre forward, and it was great to see Theo show what he can do in front of goal, as his build up play had been pretty average. Fantastic finish. And we needed the second goal, as once again a defensive mix up was punished. I see Marc blamed Foulkes - maybe that's right - but poor communication and slow thinking were evident, just like last week.
Hopefully more players will be back next week. We need Carter and Murphy on the pitch badly. Brooking too - will he be suspended do we think? Fans in the bank were great as usual, lifting the atmosphere in what was quite a dull game until the closing stages. Let's get that Wanderers swagger back again soon!
Just seen Dan Lincoln teasing that he's going somewhere, tba any day
We wouldn't....would we?

I wouldn't say no either. Bit of competition might sharpen Harrison up (that backpass ffs!) and when Lincoln arrived the first time we went on that mega run of 10 straight wins IIRC.
Lincoln's warm ups were at Slav levels and also he is used to our awful pitch and has played with Gallagher and Fuller before
