Looking forward to seeing Marc back at Meadowbank on a matchday 😀

I feel like it is an important game to get momentum into the season .. we need to start well and the crowd will play their part as always

If we win on Saturday, we can take confidence into the Woking game on Monday

(...they are away at Gateshead on Saturday, so a win v York and we will be confident & fresher than Woking, with their travelling beforehand)

Four points out of a Bank holiday weekend would be awesome, starting hopefully with a 3-1 win v York on Saturday

Not sure you can have a six pointer in August but I agree with  @SDDWFC that a fast start would get the confidence and crowd up. That is not what happened at their place last year ! Feels like we will need to win these home games as points away will again be hard to come by.

very interesting to see how the left back gap is plugged. I really think the club should say something in public about the Cook situation.

I’m predicting a home win and Marc not getting booked on his return. Must be some pretty good odds on that!

3-3 - Marc prowls the touchline like a caged beast, trying desperately to not let his fury with the referees performance bubble over as he awards York a dubious last minute penalty...

@adeb don't even joke, unless of course Harrison saves it and we win 3-2 😀

@sddwfc I'm going for a 2-2 draw on Saturday and  a point at Woking, anything else will be a big bonus.

Sorry for being a little negative.

We must stop leaking these goals, if you watch back most of them are because players have switched off and the player has nipped in to score.

Also we need to start creating more up stop for Prior and Seager.

Just hoping for a win on Saturday. Maybe a 2-1 victory. Agree with everyone we need some positive momentum, and strength our defenses. Does anyone have insight into Joe Cook returning?

I would personally be amazed if Joe Cook ever featured for DW again. He's not even been given a place on the bench since his suspension passed. Sometimes the manager just doesn't want a player any more, I remember similar with the goalkeeper Sam Howes.

York with a few injuries and a poor start to the season as well so have a bit more confidence for this one. I'll got 2-1 Wanderers.

Going to assume Pybus comes straight in to the team so will be interested to see who misses out (Kuhl obviously suspended). I wonder if Kennedy comes straight back in considering the issues we've had at LCB?

It's becoming almost impossible to pick the side as we never quite know who is fit and available. Marc providing his update later today may give some clues.

I agree that I would presume Pybus comes straight in. Everitt on the bench or even starting on the right side? Like i say, very hard to predict!

York have loaded their squad this week with three new signings announced yesterday and sounds like they might bring one more in today. Read they'd signed 16 new players in total this summer! Lets hope they take longer to gel than a few days.

I actually feel quite confident this weekend - going for a 3-0 home win (wait until Gary P tells me we never keep clean sheets! 🙂

Well, it could have been worse. Game could have gone either way, with Harry going close just before they scored second and a mad scramble in our goal at the death.

There were some signs of decent football at times, with Moore helping to shore things up in front of defence.  I liked the look of Pybus when he came in - looking to get on the ball and pass it forward.

York had some very good players no doubt but didn’t play that well as a team. This was an opportunity for 3 points missed 😶 . But a win on Monday would make up for that!
